Three Cheers for Sawyer, Michigan

I have blogged more than once about the gems you can find along Michigan’s own Route 66 – Red Arrow Highway.  Just off this beaten path lies, I kid you not, one of my favorite towns in the whole state; Sawyer, Michigan.  This tiny town is adorable and it is overflowing with character and charisma that is second to none.  Where do you even begin?  There is something for everyone here and it is all unique.  Craft beer and good food your style? Then Greenbush Brewery, or perhaps Fitzgerald’s is on your must see list.

If coffee is more your taste, Infusco is the best you will find!

Shopping?  Oh boy, glad you asked.  I could spend more than an hour in this final little gem and NEVER see it all – certainly, I’d never get bored.  With the turn of every corner, you expect to reach the end, but it just keeps going and going… an endless array of the most unique and creative, one of a kind items you will ever find under any one roof!  Other towns may boast of quaint little gift shops, but there is no snooty heirs here – and it is all in one place.  Really, you just have to see it for yourself… and the pictures do it no justice.  Friends, welcome to Sawyer Garden Center.  No, it isn’t a typo.  I said Garden Center – but take a peek… it is SO MUCH more.

It may look unassuming on the outside, but you can never judge a book by it’s cover… you would never guess.

Unique foods, produce, and beverages (see my Harry Potter party blog.  This is where I found the Butter Beer)
