Adapted slightly from the girl-who-ate-everything blog, we LOVE these Ham Sliders!!  They made their debut at last year’s Mustache Bash and reappear on the table for dinner throughout the year.  This may be a recipe you would consider for a less formal Easter Dinner.  They could easily be made ahead (like we did for ‘Stache Bash)

  • 24 slider buns or dinner rolls
  • 2 packages thin sliced Eckrich Honey Ham
  • 12 slices swiss (use half on each slider)
  • Hellman’s Mayonaise (you could use Miracle Whip if you preferred)

Cut a slit in the slider buns or dinner rolls, place the buns in the dish, very close together.   Spread with mayo and layer with a 1/2 slice of swiss and even amount of ham, close the bun.

In a small bowl, whisk the following:

  •  Tablespoon of poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 stick of melted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon minced onion
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of BBQ sauce

Pour evenly over the sandwiches, let sit for about 10 minutes as the mixture soaks in.  Cover with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 to melt cheese.  Uncover and cook for 2-3 more minutes until the tops are slightly brown and crispy.  Serve warm.
