Dreft

When my Grandpa was in the hospital, the nurses always raved about how crisp and white my Grandma was able to keep his clothes.  Many childhood memories center around life at my grandparent’s house.  Every chore was an adventure with them!!  Doing laundry was actually fun, when I could do it with my Granny!! And mowing the lawn or tending the garden… that’s a whole other blog…. What was her secret to get the whites so white?  She used Dreft.  When my own kids were babies, I used Dreft to wash their clothes (couldn’t afford to use it for the whole family and was kind of a Tide girl, myself).  Now the boys are 6-10 years old and they don’t need Dreft for their sensitive skin, but I find that if I use it for the white clothes, the whites don’t get dingy (we have well water) or rusty.  My boys aren’t the cleanest eaters, and they have been known to run around the yard in just their stocking feet (okay – A LOT!) but our whites are white until they wear through!!
