Carmel Apple Trifle

Absolutely love this concoction.  I have had it in the big layered bowl before, but after the first serving it’s a mess.  This was a dish I brought to a pot luck during football season.  I always watch for cheap little “extra touches”.  Rule of thumb, I almost never pay more than a dollar to dress something up – but the added touch gives everything a festive, special feel.  You can usually pick things up for 75% off at JoAnn’s and they do have CUTE stuff.  That is how I got these little flags- an end of the season clearance.

The cup is a Carmel Apple Trifle that starts with a layer of crumbled up cinnamon rolls ( I use half of a small cinnamon roll for the bottom layer ) with a layer of instant vanilla pudding, a drizzled layer of caramel topping (like you would use on ice cream), a layer of apple pie filling ( I stirred in cinnamon before I layered it), and begin again if you have room.  I did not have room to do another layer, so I topped mine with whipped cream and crumbled cinnamon roll.  I could have also drizzled more caramel topping.
