The easiest, fool proof, walk in and love the smell, dinner cooked while you work, comfort food you could possibly dream of comes from the recipe files of my Grandma McConaghy.  We eat this about once a week in the winter.  Sometimes with sides of carrots and potatoes, and sometimes with rice and steamed broccoli (I cannot recommend one over the other because I love them both!)

In a large crockpot, place one beef roast, cover with one envelope of onion soup dry packet and dump one can of golden mushroom and one can of cream of mushroom soup on top (resist the urge to stir!) cover and let cook on low for 8 hours.  The meat is fall apart tender and the gravy is perfect!!!
